Chinese bronze Buddha head – lot 095
Chinese Buddha head cast in bronze, executed as a standalone sculptural object. The statue measures 18 cm high and 11 cm wide and weighs 0.6 kg. The proportions and modeling follow the classical Chinese Buddhist sculptural tradition, with closed eyes, elongated earlobes, and an evenly structured hairline.
The Buddha head is hollow cast and open at the bottom, with clear traces of natural oxidation on the inside. The surface displays a weathered patina profile consistent with older bronze. The compact dimensions and weight suggest an object intended as a decorative or devotional piece, separate from a complete statue.
A restrained and characterful Chinese bronze Buddha head suitable as a collector's item or as a standalone sculptural accent in an interior.
