Returns & Right of Withdrawal
14-Day Withdrawal Period
You may withdraw from your online purchase within 14 days after you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods. You do not need to give a reason.
To exercise this right, contact us at sales@1stbuddha.com before the 14-day period expires. After notifying us, you must return the object without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date of your withdrawal notice.
Condition & Diminished Value
Our collection consists largely of unique, pre-owned and antique objects. You may inspect an object as you reasonably would in a physical gallery. Handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and condition of the object may result in diminished value for which the buyer can be responsible.
Return Shipping
Costs: The direct cost of returning an item is borne by the buyer, unless we agree otherwise or the object is defective, damaged in transit or materially different from the description.
Large and fragile objects: For objects that cannot normally be returned by ordinary post, return transport can be substantial. Where required by applicable consumer law, an estimate of these direct return costs will be provided before the order is concluded. Please contact us before arranging return transport so that suitable insured shipping and packing can be coordinated.
Packing: Returns must be packed carefully and appropriately for the object. Any diminished value or damage caused by inadequate return packing may be taken into account where permitted by law.
Refunds
For a valid consumer withdrawal, we refund the purchase price and the cost of the least expensive standard outbound delivery option offered for the order. Any additional cost resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method, such as express or special transport, is not refundable beyond the standard delivery amount.
The refund will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. Where permitted by law, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having returned them, whichever occurs first.
Discounted Items
A reduced or discounted price does not by itself remove a consumer's statutory right of withdrawal. Any lawful exception applies only where specifically permitted by applicable law.
Damaged or Incorrect Deliveries
If an object arrives damaged, defective or materially different from the description, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours, and include clear photographs of the packaging and object. This request does not limit any statutory consumer rights.
Where the problem is attributable to us or the carrier, we will arrange an appropriate solution and bear the reasonable return shipping costs.
Business Purchases
Statutory consumer withdrawal rights generally apply to consumers rather than business purchasers. Any separate return agreement for a business purchase will be confirmed in writing.
