Mandalay-style Buddha statue, crafted from bronze with visible remnants of original gilding. The Buddha is depicted in the Bhumisparsha mudra, the gesture in which the earth is invoked as a witness to the enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama. This iconographic motif symbolizes determination, victory over illusion, and inner strength.
The statue has a calm, balanced posture and is placed on a round base. The gilding is partially worn off, creating an attractive contrast between the warm gold and the dark patinated bronze. The bottom is closed and filled, consistent with traditional production. Origin Myanmar (Burma). Height approx. 37 cm, width approx. 26 cm, weight 6.2 kg. A classic and timeless Buddha statue, suitable as a spiritual symbol or decorative object.
