This is the kind of statue where you immediately feel it is not modern junk. A standing Avalokiteshvara, powerful and elegant, with that typical Tibetan posture and aura. The bronze has a deep, weathered patina, and clear remnants of old gilding are visible in several places. That gold is not glued *on* the surface but truly emerges from the metal, exactly what you expect from an older statue.
All in all, this points to an older statue, most likely from the late 19th to early 20th century. The interior and wear support the idea that it is well over 100 years old. Not a museum-level masterpiece, but certainly a serious, authentic collector's item with presence.
