Expertise & Iconography
This icon of the 'Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God' displays the classic composition with the Archangel Gabriel and the Virgin Mary. The detailed inscriptions at the top of the panel use pre-Reformation spelling (including the 'Yat'), confirming its authenticity and dating to before 1918. The wooden panel displays a natural patina and slight curvature, consistent with a genuine antique object from the 19th century.
