Signed Japanese Dento Kokeshi Doll – Jinshirō-kei School by Hiroko (26.0 cm / 500g)

This authentic Dento Kokeshi (26 cm) belongs to the prestigious Jinshirō-kei school from the Tohoku region in Japan and is entirely handcrafted from a single solid block of indigenous hardwood. Thanks to its exceptionally high weight of 500 grams, this doll possesses a remarkably solid quality that is immediately noticeable. The minimalist design, warm wood patina, and subtle hand-painting reflect the pure aesthetic of the Japanese Mingei tradition. The underside bears the original signature of artist Hiroko, including her calligraphic Kao monogram, making this a special collector's item for lovers of traditional Japanese folk art.
